Two Years

Oh wow, how can I sum up the last two years in one blog post? Seriously, where do I start? I don't think I can, so just see what spills out from my brain...

This week's been a bit of a ride. I'm a contractor now, so I'm working away from home, which is really tough, but it will lead to a better life for us all in the long-run. It's actually a really boring job, there's so little to do, but where I am sat is smack in the middle of everyone so I can't even sit doing research, I have to fake-work all the time, uh! Today's been good though, I had lots to do, so I had a really productive day.

I'm currently sat on my bed in my digs - next to a railway line (ugh!) - just trying to entertain myself, it's sooo lonely being away from home. I miss my cuddles, and kisses and playing games with everyone, or just chilling on the sofa watching 3rd Rock from the Sun. I finished watching all of Stargate Universe yesterday, whoa, what an ending, I can highly recommend watching it. I try to call home every other night, but as I get no mobile signal (ugh!) I have to rely on stupid Hangouts. Still, homeday tomorrow, and I've got a job interview near home on Monday, so not just a 3-day weekend, but hopefully a new job which will be near home!

I passed my motorbike CBT three months ago, I ride a little YBR125, which is nice, but so slow on the dual carriage ways, it can do about 60mph on a good day, but I can't wait to get something that can easily handle 70mhp up the hills and in wind. I passed my motorbike theory test last Saturday so I just need to find the time (and money) to book my big-bike test. DW likes me in my bike gear, heehee :o)

Speaking of DW, she started a new job back in February 2014, she's now a childminder working with a local lady at her house, they are brilliant together! She absolutely loves it, much better than the cleaning job she used to have (in fact, we now have a cleaner come to our house - how the tables have turned) and is studying for her degree in child care, I'm so proud of her.

WB has had his ups & downs in school, but he's got some good friends (one of which came second in a Mario Kart tournament recently - I came fourth) who stick by him, and he (along with DW) has joined the local gym. He came 29th in the cross-country race today, and told me that when he "accidentally" lifted his T-shirt to wipe the sweat off on of the "good looking" girls shouted, "WB has got a six pack". Only 14 and already wooing the ladies.

TJ has hit the awkward-seven's, he can be a right pain in the bum and is giving DW a hard time, so it really is hard for her when I am away. He can be such a good kid, but he's really pushing the boundaries and being very testing. He's enjoying Mario Maker at the minute, both making levels and playing the ones I make.

KK is a lovely little girl, very polite and tidy, generally does exactly what she's told and is at that age were she likes helping out, even if it's dusting the computer room. She's in year one at school now, and they;re teaching her to double and halve numbers, which I think is a bit crazy, but they reckon it's good to get them doing it at a young age. We shall see. She most days enjoys reading, and I think will be able to match the rate set by TJ.

Well, I know I'm missing lots & lots of stuff, but this will do for now. If I can think of amazing things which happened since I last posted properly (e.g. my big sister getting married) I will put some back-dated posts in.

See you on the flip-side xx
